I’m an American singer, songwriter, opera performer, pianist, voice-over artist, and molecular anthropologist. I grew up on a farm in Fall Creek Falls, Tennessee, and moved to California at age ten. I began singing at three, and by eight my voice naturally led me into opera. Music has been a constant thread throughout my life, shaping both my voice and my identity.

I sing across multiple genres including: Opera, Power Ballads, Broadway Musicals, Christian, Country, Blues, and Pop, allowing emotion and storytelling to guide every performance. I’ve been singing and writing songs for as long as I can remember, using music to express love, loss, faith, resilience, and the human experience.

My writing became deeply personal after profound loss. After losing my daughter, my father, my grandparents, and several dear friends, music became the only place where I could put my pain.  Grief isn’t something I visit. It’s something I live with. It has shaped my voice and changed who I am. There are conversations I never got to finish, arms I can’t reach for anymore, and memories that still ache.

I write songs to survive the silence they left behind. I write to remember them as they were, and to honor the love that didn’t disappear when they did. My songs come from loss, heartbreak, and resilience.   Every lyric is enriched by memory, and every melody carries the weight of someone I loved and still carry with me.

My debut album, Peace Within the Pain, reflects this journey, transforming loss into art that comforts, uplifts, and reminds others they are not alone.

In addition to my work as a singer and songwriter, I hold a PhD in Molecular Anthropology, with a lifelong focus on genetics, education, and human resilience. Over time, my artistic and academic paths converged in ways I could not have anticipated.

When my youngest son, Ayden, was born with Down syndrome, my life was reshaped both personally and professionally. Navigating the realities of raising a child with special needs gave me firsthand insight into the fear, isolation, and uncertainty many families experience, while also revealing extraordinary strength, adaptability, and love. This experience deepened my commitment to advancing education and research in genetics, particularly in ways that are accessible, compassionate, and empowering.

Music became a parallel avenue for this work. Through songwriting and performance, I translate complex emotional and scientific realities into human-centered narratives that foster understanding, connection, and hope. My mission is to bridge science, education, and the arts to support individuals and families facing genetic and developmental challenges, transforming knowledge into empowerment and grief into resilience.
